Quick start
Design, align, export.
Use this guide to make a dock wallpaper that fits your Android home screen.
1. Choose a background
Import an image using Android’s photo picker. DockCraft stores the selected image with your project on your device. You’re responsible for having permission to use any image you import.
2. Create your dock
Choose a layout, then tune the dock’s position, size, shape, color, and lighting. Save layouts or styles you want to reuse. Light and dark variants can be adjusted separately.
3. Check alignment
Use the optional live alignment flow to preview placement on your launcher. Android shows a temporary live wallpaper during setup. If you use floating controls, Android will ask you to grant Display over other apps permission. You can skip this and continue designing and exporting.
Move the dock until it sits behind your icons. Launcher menus should be closed while you check placement. Device size, wallpaper zoom, scrolling, and orientation may change the result.
4. Export and apply
Return to the editor, review the crop, and export a PNG or JPEG. DockCraft exports a regular image; choose it in Android’s wallpaper picker to apply it. Keep a copy of your previous wallpaper if you may want to restore it later.
5. Save or share a project
Use Android’s save or share actions to move an exported image. You can also share a DockCraft project file when you want to transfer a design and its imported assets.
Android does not let DockCraft read your current wallpaper automatically. Choose a separate background image, or select a screenshot yourself if you want to use one as a guide.
